We have Emily to thank for our current life situation...our MARRIAGE! We are extremely grateful that she didn't ask for our first born as a payment for her matchmaking! Because of her keen eye and creativity, Kasey and I were set up on a blind date in February of 2003 and then again due to her furthered persistence and tenacity, we were set up again in October of 2003! I have often wondered why the Lord chose Emily to see way before we did our eternal potential! Kasey has said that there was no way he would have ever called me up again (due to my flightiness the first time)but finally had to in order to get Emily to stop bugging him about calling me up!
Thank you, Emily, for your persistence. On your birthday this year, we will celebrate our 5 year anniversary. I think it is so fitting that we were married on your birthday! What a way to celebrate the life of the matchmaker who brought us together!! We thank you for being you and for extending yourself to us.
